James Livingston

Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes Benz, are delighted to confirm the signing of Canadian forward and EIHL play-off champion James Livingston.

The 29 year old is a former 3rdround NHL Draft pick of the St Louis Blues (2008). He spent 5 seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL), 3 years with Worcester, the top affiliate of the San Jose Sharks before moving onto the Manchester Monarchs (top affiliate of the LA Kings).

Livingston moved to Europe for the 2015-16 season and spent 2 years in Austrian League with Dornbirner EC. He then made the move to Germany to join Bad Nauheim in 2017-18 and that season scored 69 points in 82 games.

James then joined the Cardiff Devils during the 2018/19 season and went on to ice in 25 games, scoring 2 goals and 6 assists on the way to the play-off championship.

Speaking about his signing for Fife, Livingston said "I am excited to play and live in Scotland in front of such a passionate fan base!

"I am looking forward to meeting everyone in Fife and having a great season."

Head coach Todd Dutiaume added "James comes with a gritty edge alongside very capable offensive ability. Underused in Cardiff we expect to see a lot more from him as far as ice time and numbers go.

"We always make an effort to recruit quality people and we are excited to have James joining us."
