Tim Crowder

Fife Flyers are pleased to confirm the addition of 32 year old forward Tim Crowder to their 2019/20 Elite League roster.

Tim, younger brother of returning forward Paul Crowder, has 158 ECHL games on his CV with 32 goals and 63 assists.

Last season Tim signed with Danny Stewart's Coventry Blaze and went on to ice in 66 games, scoring 27 goals and 43 assists to average over 1 point per game.

Head coach Todd Dutiaume said the following about the capture of Tim Crowder "Both the Crowder brothers made a significant impact in the league's scoring charts. We are hoping to re-tap into that offensive capability again this season.

"Tim provides us with a dynamic potency on the right side.

"This deal took a while to get over the line but we are sure it was worth the wait."

The 6'2" right-shooter, from Victoria, BC, Canada, has spent six years in the French Ligue Magnus with Dijon, Angers, Amiens and most recently Chamonix.

In France, Crowder iced 233 season games posting 114 goals, 137 assists for 251 points.

Tim was a Cup winner with Gothiques d'Amiens during 2013/14, a competition in which he played a total of 22 times with 27 points. The following season, he represented Amiens side in 6 IIHF Continental Cup games tallying 4 points.

Included in his European experience are brief stints in the Czech second division and Swedish first division.

His collegiate career was played in the NCAA with Michigan State University where he had 106 points in 151 games over four years. In 2007 he was an NCAA Champion and later an associate Captain.

In 2005, he was drafted round 5, 126th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Speaking about joining Fife, Tim said the following "I am happy to be come back to the EIHL for my second season and to be joining the Fife Flyers.

"It will be a great opportunity to play a season with my brother and enjoy some time in Scotland. I am hoping to bring some more offensive skill to an already strong offensive team.

"I plan to contribute the best I can to move the Flyers up the rankings for the coming season.

"I look forward to getting started and hope the fans will ready for an exciting season."

Elite Ice Hockey League

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) is a professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom formed in 2003. The league currently consists of 10 teams, with Belfast (NIR), Cardiff (WAL), Coventry (ENG), Dundee (SCO), Fife (SCO), Glasgow (SCO), Guildford (ENG), Manchester (ENG), Nottingham (ENG) and Sheffield (ENG).
