The Elite League is delighted to announce that the 2017 Elite League Playoff Final weekend will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra.

The digital radio station is available online or via DAB radio and has broadcast world famous shows such as Test Match Special as well as coverage of major sporting events including the NHL Stanley Cup Final and Major League Baseball's World Series in the past.

Coverage of the Playoff Final Weekend will be fronted by Seth Bennett, a name familiar to many British hockey fans following his work with the Elite League, Sheffield Steelers and Manchester Storm among others during a 20+ year broadcast career.

"It is the biggest weekend in the ice hockey calendar and it's fantastic that people around the world will be able to listen on digital radio on 5 Live Sports Extra." Bennett said.

"Ice hockey is a fantastic sport on the radio and we will have every angle covered, with expert analysis and live reaction from rinkside as the game is in progress."

"On a personal note this will be the the 18th playoff finals weekend I have covered and with the quality of the hockey this season, and the stories still to be told, I think it will be a great few days in Nottingham."
