Flyers are Celtic Cup Play-Off Champions

Celtic CupAfter securing the Celtic Cup league trophy only a week ago against the Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers once again go their hands on the play-off trophy after again beating the Dundee Stars in the play-off final. The score was tied at 3-3 after 3 periods with overtime needed to help Fife secure their 2nd straight Celtic Cup play-off title. A man of the match performance from netminder Blair Daly helped the team secure the cup after a game that included 78 penalty minutes. However, as they say it's the final result that counts, and once again Flyers have come out on top.

 

Flyers Become Celtic Cup Champions

Celtic CupFlyers made it 2 in a row in the Celtic Cup after claiming the league title after their 3-2 win over Dundee Stars. Flyers went in to the game knowing they could either win or lose the league depending on how the game turned out, however, they found themselves 3-0 with less than 7 minutes to go. The held on for the victory and claimed their 2nd Celtic Cup title, setting themselves up for the play-offs this coming weekend where they will play Charlestown Chiefs in the 2nd semi-final. Dundee Stars will take on Solway Sharks in the 1st semi.
