18: John Haig, Part 2 (Back to Part 1)

Concluding the Interview that I did with John the other week.

I ASKED HIM ABOUT AMBITIONS FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.
He said that he hoped to win everything again but it would not be easy and that Flyers could take nothing for granted.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUPERSTITION?
None at all.

PRE/POST MATCH ROUTINE?
Not really I just grab as much sleep as I can.

TEAM JOKER? (I told John that he got a mention from almost everyone I had asked so far)
He laughed and said that Kingy (Steven) was the main joker in the dressing room.

FAVOURITE TV/FILM/MUSIC.
The Simpsons, Kids films with his lad and The View, a band from Dundee are his current favourites.

HOW DID HE SEE HIS FUTURE IN HOCKEY?
John told me that he tends not to think too far ahead and just to enjoy each game as it comes along.

MESSAGE FOR THE FANS.
“ I really appreciate the fans coming along and encouraging the team. We have a lot to live up to. The League is getting better and we need to keep on improving and looking ahead.

These comments were made 2-3 weeks ago and were made ahead of the BIG announcement this week about the future of the SNL set-up. It was a pleasure to talk to John and I look forward to speaking to other players over the next few weeks.
