EIHLSaturday night say Fife Flyers take to the ice for the firs time this season when they took on Dundee Stars in a challenge match double header.

Saturday night saw the Stars visit a strong 1500+ crowd to watch the sides first meeting since Fife Flyers were accepted in to the Elite Ice Hockey League. Many fans speculating Flyers were going to be on the receiving end of a 'hammering' with Flyers icing 4 imports to Dundee Stars 9. The first period saw a very evenly matched up game with Star taking the lead within the final 30 seconds of the period.

Second period saw Dundee Stars experience in the top flight take over and scored 4 goals and the final period again a much more close encounter with the period score tied at 1-1.

Flyers travelled to Dundee on the Sunday which saw an equally thrilling game as the Saturday night opener with the score ending 4-4, and a well deserved Man of the Match award for netminder Blair Daly.

More information and match analysis from player/coach Todd Dutiaume about the weekends action will be made available soon.

With regards to speculation regarding Fife Flyers fixtures, as this goes out no contact has been made with the club directors about re-scheduled fixtures
