Willie NicolsonThe club is delighted to announce that the injuries sustained in Saturday nights loss to Hull Stingrays to both defenceman Willie Nicolson and new forward Toms Hartmanis are not as serious as was first feared.

Willie Nicolson was hit from the side by young British skater Bobby Chamberlain of Hull Stingrays which sent Willie in to the boards within the opening minutes of the first period. Paramedics were rushed on to the ice to attend to Nicolson, who was taken to hospital, who had regained consciousness before leaving the ice.

Coach Todd Dutiaume said "Willie has a head injury and is suffering from a concussion. He also has a slight back injury and is likely to be out for a couple of weeks."

Latvian forward Toms Hartmanis had made an impressive Flyers debut when former Dundee Stars player Sam McCluskey caught Toms with an accidental high stick. Toms immediately dropped to the ice with paramedics rushing over. Toms left the ice and headed straight to the dressing room before being taken to hospital.

"Toms has some slight facial damage but will be back training in a couple of days." Dutiaume confirmed.
