Matt Siddall in action against Edinburgh CapitalsSaturday evening sees the visit of Edinburgh Capitals to Fife Ice Arena for the 3rd time of the season, the last time they visited FIA, and Edinburgh ran out 3-2 Overtime winners in the Elite League game, only a few weeks before Flyers recorded their first win of the season against Edinburgh after Flyers ran out 3-2 winners in the Challenge Cup group A game.

Edinburgh has won 5 out of their last 10 games including 2 wins against fellow Scottish contingent, the Braehead Clan. Capitals are expected to bring a full squad, with the exception of defensemen Martin Petrina who is missing for Edinburgh.

Flyers go in to the game without player/coach Todd Dutiaume who has been out for the past 2 weeks with a groin injury. Fife Flyers assistant coach Matt Siddall expects a tough encounter on Saturday night.

“Saturday is a big home game against Edinburgh, they have proved this season that they are a dangerous team and seem to play some of their best hockey against us.”

Siddall has not been surprised by the turn in fortunes Edinburgh have shown this season and has identified Edinburgh’s most dangerous players.“They have a lot of offense and I am not surprised by how well they have been playing of late. Hartmann and Jarolin play very well together and seem to score almost every game.

“As long as we play strong defensively, we will be looking to take win.” Siddall confirmed.

Fife Flyers take on Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday 26th November at Fife Ice Arena, face-off 7:15pm.
