Fife Flyers are pleased to confirm the signing of import forward Matt Siddall. Matt is a 2004 Atlanta Thrashers NHL draft pick and has spent the majority of his professional career in the ECHL and has also gained AHL experience with the Chicago Wolves.
Flyers coach Todd Dutiaume said 'We are thrilled to be able to announce Matt as the latest Flyer; he comes to us with fantastic references and his game speaks for itself. He is a big strong winger who puts up numbers, plays hard and takes no nonsense.
'Siddall is solidly built, strong on his skates and good at protecting the puck. At 6 foot 1 inch he plays a very rough style. Matt is also very good in front of the net and banging home rebounds. '
Matt has spent the last 2 seasons playing under former Fife legend Mark Morrison with the Victoria Salmon Kings in the ECHL where he played 104 games whilst registering 70 points (30 goals + 40 assists) and 232 penalty minutes.
He hails from North Vancouver, British columbia, Canada.
