Dan Correale

Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, are delighted to confirm the signing of 26-year-old Canadian forward Dan Correale following his departure from Iisalmen Peli-Karhut in the Finnish Mestis league.

The Prince George, British Columbia native played collegiate hockey at the University of New Hampshire, wearing the ‘A’ as an alternate captain for the Wildcats in his senior season, 2015-16. He completed his time at UNH with 64 points (27 goals +37 assists) in 146 games while setting career highs in goals (16), points (25), power play goals (8) and game winning goals (3) during his senior season.

Correale broke into professional hockey in 2016 when he signed with Missouri Mavericks in the ECHL and finished fourth on the Mavericks in scoring with 38 points (12 goals + 26 assists) in his first professional season.

The 26 year old began the 2017/18 season with the Mavericks but moved on to ice with IPK in the Mestis league last month.

Speaking about today's announcement head coach Todd Dutiaume said "It was important that we got someone in quickly in order to help the team at this time of the season as our schedule really picks up.

"Dan not only comes with good references, but he fits the type of player that we have brought into the club this season. His work ethic and speed on the ice will make him a hit with the fans and he is more than capable of putting up numbers offensively.

"With the uncertainty around Brady Ramsay, we are pleased to be able to bring Dan in quickly, initially on a temporary basis, and he will make his debut this weekend."

Following his arrival in Fife, Dan said the following "I have heard only good things from everyone I have spoken to about the organisation and am excited to be here.

"I have talked to the guys about it here and have heard nothing but good things. It's exciting to be involved with a good organisation and team.

"All the guys seem great and the vibes around the rink seem great amongst the team. I am really looking forward to getting things going."

Dutiaume also confirmed that Russ Moyer is back skating with this teammates but is currently day-to-day, with no decision yet to be made whether he will ice this weekend.
