PREVIEW | Fife Flyers vs Braehead Clan (15.10.2017)

Face-off 7:15pm

This weekend the Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, face Gardiner Conference rivals the Braehead Clan in a home and away double header.

The Clan return to Fife Ice Arena on Saturday for the third time this season, having previously been on the end of two heavy defeats, which saw Flyers record 5-1 and 5-2 home victories against John Tripp's side.

Going into this weekend Flyers will be looking to secure win numbers 4 and 5 over Braehead this season, having also recorded a 7-1 win over the Clan in Braehead at the start of October.

Flyers go into this weekend having won 9 of their last 10 league games, whilst Braehead have won 3 out of their last 10 games.

Following Wednesday night's huge 6-2 win over the Manchester Storm, Todd Dutiaume's team go into this weekend's fixtures placed fourth in the league with games in hand over every team above them.

Flyers also top the Gardiner Conference ahead of this weekend's opponents and look to continue their fine form against John Tripp's side.

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume speaking about this weekend's games said "We want to keep this momentum going as the year keeps rolling. This is a big weekend coming up.

"It's been 2 months since we met and both teams are in different places than we were, it should be a great weekend and it's one we want to be successful in.

"The aim is four points this weekend whether that's the outcome time will tell but the guys are playing confident."
