Evan Bloodoff in action vs EC Kassel Huskies

Following on from their Saturday overtime victory over DEL2 side EC Kassel Huskies Fife Flyers, sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz, were back in action on Sunday in the 2nd game of pre-season.

The action started where it left off the night before with both teams pressing for the opening goal, however it was the German side that applied the early pressure in the game but were unable to find a way beyond Andy Iles in the Fife net.

As the play continued in the opening period Flyers got themselves back in the game and looked like the team most likely to score first. That opportunity came when Liam Heelis converted a pass from Chase Schaber at 16:03 on the powerplay to put the Flyers 1-0 up.

The 2nd period saw the Huskies take control of most of the period and limited the Flyers to just 5 shots on goal. Alex Lambacher tied the game up for the Huskies with a well worked goal at 34:58 to make it 1-1.

A goalless third period resulted in both teams heading into overtime for the 2nd game in a row and it was the Huskies who sealed the win when Michael Christ scored at 61:35 to seal the win for EC Kassel Huskies.
