Evan Bloodoff

Fife Flyers are pleased to confirm the signing of 26 year-old Canadian Evan Bloodoff for the 2017/18 Elite Ice Hockey League campaign.

Bloodoff (pronounced blue-doff), from Castlegar in British Colombia, spent the 2016/17 season between Florida Everblades and Reading Royals.

A 6th round NHL Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, despite his young age, Bloodoff brings plenty of experience, and speed, to Fife.

In 2011 he spent the season in the AHL with Portland Pirates, icing in 48 games and scoring 6 goals and 2 assists.

The following season Bloodoff split his time between the Portland and Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL, in 52 games with the Gladiators he scored 20 goals and 18 assists, helping Gwinnett to a 3rd place finish in the Eastern Conference playing alongside Cardiff Devils' forward Joey Haddad.

Bloodoff was acquired by Florida Everblades in March 2014 and went on to play 3 seasons in the Sunshine State. His career so far has seen him ice in 57 AHL games as well as 268 ECHL games, scoring 87 goals and 76 assists.

Speaking about joining Fife, Bloodoff had the following to say "I'm ready to start a new chapter in my career with the Fife Flyers.

"I am really excited to get the season started and help Flyers win a championship this year."

Jeff Hutchins added "All the reports we got back on Evan comment on how fast he is. I think that is a trait that we have been looking for with all our signings, we want to play a fast responsible 200 ft game.

"Evan has twice scored 20+ goals in the ECHL and has the ability to go beyond that for the coming season.  We look forward to getting him and the other guys in for training camp."
