Blair Daly Q & A

Q. Are you looking forward to the new season?
A. Yes really looking forward to the new season. It’s been a boring summer without the hockey. At the end of last season I was looking forward to the break but now I’m just missing the hockey.

Q. Any particular influences that made you want to return to Fife? Coaches/Players/Fans?
A. The reason I returned to fife was for the last 2 seasons I have played here it has been great, enjoyed every minute of it. Coaches and players are great to work with and as for the fans they are tremendous. They really get the atmosphere to a top level.

Q. How competitive do you think the league will be? More so than last year?
A. I think the league will be more competitive than last season. It’s hard to say how much as it is early doors just now and a lot of teams have not made all their signings.

Q. How do you think Flyers will do this season particularly with Stars looking so strong?
A. I think the Flyers will do well this season. Hopefully we can carry on winning most of our games. It will be tough against Stars especially with the loss of Haigy. However we are bringing in a few good experienced players which will hopefully give the team the finishing touches.

Q. Who have been the biggest influences on your career so far?
A. The biggest influences on my career have to be my dad, Stuart and Scott Robertson. The biggest achievement so far has to be winning the Grand Slam in my first season with the Flyers!

Q. Who is / are your favourite player / players?
A. Nowadays I don’t really have a favourite player but in my younger days I always liked to watch Martin Brodeur
