Flyers Aim for Normal Service

NPL LogoFife Flyers will aim to get back to winning ways when they return to Fife Ice Arena next Saturday (2nd Feb). After loosing a unbeaten home record that stretched back to the BNL days after the 3-2 Penalty Shot out defeat to Dundee Stars, Flyers then struggled against SPHL rivals Solway Sharks. Solway held Fife to a 2-2 draw on Saturday evening at Fife Ice Arena, and return to try and take all 2 points next Saturday (2/2/08).

Flyers are still in the driving seat for the inaugrual SPHL title, but face touch competition from both Dundee Texol Stars and Edinburgh Capitals.

Flyers Lose 3 Year Unbeaten Record

NPL LogoFlyers will aim to start a new unbeaten record on Saturday after losing at home for the first time in almost three years — albeit on penalty shots. The Kirkcaldy side lost to Dundee Stars at the weekend in a Northern League match that had the biggest crowd at Fife Ice Arena this season on the edge of their seats. Full Story @ Fifetoday.co.uk

Flyers Can Clinch NPL on Saturday

NPL LogoFife Flyers are looking to clinch their 11th trophy under player/coach Todd Dutiaume, in just 3 seasons. Dundee Texol Stars stand in their way, and it is Dundee who lead the chasing pack, the only other team who can prevent Flyers winning the title.

So far the Flyers have only lost 1 game in the Northern Ice Hockey League, that lose game at the hand of the Stars and they will look to do it again, this time at Fife Ice Arena, something they have not done in over 2 years. Flyers Take Step Nearer Title

NPL LogoFlyers' coach Todd Dutiaume admitted that he resorted to a cautious game plan in order to avoid three consecutive defeats in Dundee. After two high scoring defeats in December at the home of Dundee Stars, Dutiaume ordered his team to concentrate more on its defensive duties. Fife's win, coupled with the 11-1 demolition of Whitley Bay on Saturday, has put them in pole position to win the Northern League. 8th January: Paisley Double-Header

Anniversary LogoThis weekend sees Flyers making a rare trip away from Fife Ice Arena on Saturday to the Braehead Arena for their Northern Premier League. Flyers have put 21 goals past Paisley this season over the space of 3 games, whilst only conceeding 6.

Fife then return to 'The Barn' for their home game on Sunday evening, 6:30pm, face-off with Paisley this time the visiting team. Paisley's enforcer, Scott Plews (and former Flyer) returns to Fife for the 2nd time this season along with fellow enforcer Chris Conaboy. Be sure not to miss this brusing encounter.
